"Unauthorized" dialog box when trying to sync via Feedly

I’m using NNW 7.0.1 on MacOS 15.7.4. All was well until just now when I get a dialog box containing just the word “Unauthorized” when I try to sync, and nothing gets synced. I’m using Feedly, and signed on to their website, and all seemed OK there. I’m at a loss as to what’s going on. Anyone know what this message means?

Thanks!

-Eric

I just released 7.0.2 — which may or may not fix the problem, but it does two important things:

  1. Now provides better error messages, particularly with authentication with syncing systems, and

  2. Adds a new Error Log window which shows various syncing, refreshing, and credentials errors. I added a Help page showing how to use it:

https://netnewswire.com/help/error-log.html

After upgrading, please follow up with the actual error message (if any). Thanks!

Got it! Here’s the log (the dialog box was unchanged):

Thanks!

Awesome! That helps so much. Looking into it.

I think we’ve got this fixed — and your help was the key!

Please download the 7.0.3b1 build and try it out and let me know how it goes:

https://github.com/Ranchero-Software/NetNewsWire/releases/download/mac-7.0.3b1/NetNewsWire7.0.3b1.zip

You may need to go through the authentication flow, but after that it should work.

(And, if it doesn’t, seeing the Error Log again would be super-helpful.)

Glad I could help! That looks like it did the trick. I’m all caught up on my feeds, so it’ll be a bit before I can see if things are syncing properly.
