Just pitched the idea of an RSS Reader to my mother, shared the NetNewsWire iOS app link, and she was up and running pretty quickly.
We have a lot of ground already covered, I have to admit. I think we already did this a long time ago, as she had two feeds already added in the iCloud account
. I have also trained her with other app categories like password and task managers. Which got me thinking…
How do you introduce or “sell” an RSS reader to complete beginners?
How do you explain the concept of a feed?
She was able to add a new feed but only after I shared the exact link. I tried with a news website URL and it didn’t work without the .rss at the end, and there is a low chance of her adding that by herself.
