Every now and again, I need to press the Mark all as Read button a couple of times to get it to work. Once I have got it working, it seems to operate normally (i.e. 1 press) for a while then after a pause using the app, I’ll need to go through this dance again. It has been this way since the first beta, IIRC.
Not sure if it is related to the “Long tap UI weirdness” thread or not. I’ve never long-tapped, only pressed once on previous version of the app.
FI: iPad mini (A17 Pro) on latest iPad OS release (26.2) and latest beta of NNW (7008).
I’m not sure this is something our code can affect one way or another. We give the button an image and some code to run, but detecting the button press is entirely Apple’s code.
Question: do you have it set to confirm on mark-all-read, or do you normally get a popover when you tap the button?
Confirm on Mark All as Read is off. It has always been this way for me (I set it immediately after install). It ‘feels’ like a tap targets issue, but I feel it is more sensitive than earlier betas.
When I tap the button, I get the animation of the button being pushed, but the action doesn’t always fire.
