Since NNW 7 (Mac) for Ars Technica feeds, I can no longer click the “comments” link at the bottom of articles to open to the comments section in Safari. In the release notes for 7.0.1, I saw this and maybe it’s related, since the comment link is an anchor to samePageUrl#comments.
Fixed a bug where a clicking an anchor link in the article view that should navigate to another spot in the article would open in the browser instead.
I admit this bug fix is more useful, but I now have years of muscle memory of clicking the comments link, having it open in the background to read later and then… nothing happens.
Perhaps the link can still open if the link anchor doesn’t exist in NNW article view?
