The first iOS TestFlight build with the new Liquid Glass UI is available. Please test and reports bugs via TestFlight, via this forum, or via the bug tracker. (Whatever works for you.)
After installing the latest iOS beta (7001) I got a rapid-fire assault of maybe 20 crash notifications. I tried to send in the Test Flight report but I’m not sure if it went through because in the process of sending I got more notifications. Managed to open the app successfully after that, but when returning to my phone later was greeted with more crash notifications (though only 3 or 4 instead of 20). This is on an iPhone 13 mini running iOS 26.1.
It happens to me (i sent a crash log) and I’m using Newsblur.
I’ve noticed it happened when i wake up but not during the day so it may be related to a long period of inactivity or whether iOS goes into deeper sleep. Another difference is that I charge my phone at night so it happened to me only when the phone was charging. Maybe some of this context might give you a clue as to what might trigger this crash.
All the credit goes to @stuartbreckenridge — he’s done a super job with this. Even though I’m no Liquid Glass fan, I like using this version of NetNewsWire more than the previous version.
My Today Smart Feed doesn’t seem to update on first launch. When I navigate back to the Feeds list then tap Today, the list is empty. I see items updating under iCloud but nothing appears again until I quit the app.
@brent No nothing shows up no matter how long I wait when it gets into this state. If I navigate away, I see the numbers change but navigating back to Today is empty. Only quitting the app and relaunching fix it. I have video I can send to you if you like.
Update: I just noticed there is a new TestFlight version available. I’m on 7003. I’ll update and see if this continues.
I hadn’t seen that yet. Love it. I wish more apps would do this! Everyone deserves credit for their work – we’ve spent decades now with too many companies and even indies following Apple’s wrongheaded lead not giving any credit to individuals at all.
