Moving from Slack to Discourse

This forum is new as of Dec. 29, 2025!

We’re moving from Slack to here. This way we can use an open source app that’s part of the open web — and we can have conversations that don’t get deleted, that are findable, that people can benefit from long after the conversation actually happened.

We might keep the Slack just for NetNewsWire developer chat, and we might not. Not sure about that part yet. But for everything else, we should use this forum instead of the Slack group.

Nice, looking forward to all the interesting discussions.

I’m super happy with this outcome. Thanks for the hard work getting it set up.

Great change. Could you set it to allow users to enable mailing list mode?

I’ll look into mailing list mode, for sure. It might need more setup than I’ve already done (a way to receive email, possibly)
