I know there have been discussions regarding supporting the Miniflux API, but I wanted to see if there was an appetite for this feature from general users. I use NNW via iCloud, but Miniflux has often been more reliable (for obvious reasons), cheaper than the alternatives and supporting an open-source developer.
Is something like this on the roadmap?
In general we’d like to support all the various syncing systems. Right now we’re concentrating on improvements that will benefit current NetNewsWire users. I can’t predict when we’d get around to adding Miniflux support, but I agree it would be nice to have.
I am using Miniflux on NNW, I just added it as FreshRSS on both iOS and macOS apps. It works, just needed to install self-signed certs, I host Miniflux locally. Is that what you ask or, or does Miniflux API offer something not covered currently?
Important caveat (I just noticed and didn’t mention in previous post): you need to have Google Reader API enabled in Miniflux services (on <miniflux>/integrations page). Then, FreshRSS integration works perfectly.
