macOS: The list of feeds in the sidebar is empty [RESOLVED]

I moved my feeds to iCloud today, and the list of feeds isn’t shown now after some time:

When I create a new folder, or add a feed, it does that, but the list is still empty. It works correctly on iOS in NetNewswire 6.2.1 (build 6206).

Am I going crazy and missing something?

I’m running NetNewsWire 7.0 (Build 7015), and macOS 26.2 (25C56).

Thanks!

If I select this option in the context menu, it appears in the sidebar. Weird:

Do you have hide-read-feeds on? Pull down the View menu — does it say Hide Read Feeds or Show Read Feeds? What happens if you choose that menu item?

I suspect this is the well-known first sync issue.

I tend to set it in the evening and leave it on all night for best results. I’ve done this several times and this always fixes it.

TL,DR; Set device to not sleep. Start NNW (mac or iOS). Leave plugged in on charge over night. Sleep and don’t stress. All is good in the morning.

It was Hide Read Articles:

When I click it, the read articles are being hidden from Today’s view:

I will leave Mac plugged in overnight, and check how it goes in the morning. Will keep you posted! :crossed_fingers:

Thanks! I will check if it works tomorrow.

Oh my, I need to be more attentive, as I confused Hide Read Feeds with Hide Read Articles :person_facepalming:

Not sure what fixed it in the end, but the issue is resolved.

Really sorry for the scare here, and thank you for your replies!
