macOS: can't see read articles by category

I believe I am using the released build of NetNewsWire 7 for Mac, build 7015. A problem I am having is that when I select a category from the source list, I expect it to show all the articles in that category in the content list when ‘unread’ filtering is deactivated. Unfortunately, it still shows no articles at all — and the window subtitle is “0 unread”. Here’s an example:

If I select a feed instead, it does show all the articles (I would have put a screenshot, but Discourse doesn’t let new users post more than one image in a post).

I thought it might be a state bug so I tested toggling the unread-filter on and off, but that doesn’t help. Other lists, like the “Today” list have the correct behaviour.

Is it a fresh install of NetNewsWire? And/or is it the initial sync of iCloud?

Hi! No, it’s not a fresh install nor is it an initial sync. In case it helps, I can observe this behaviour on two different machines (each with longstanding installations).

In case it helps the diagnostics, I can confirm that on the latest iOS beta, the behavior is correct.

I am seeing the same behaviour with FreshRSS folders. Tracked here: macOS: Folder Timeline Only Displays Unread Articles · Issue #5079 · Ranchero-Software/NetNewsWire · GitHub
