Mac 7.0b6 is final candidate — please help test!

NetNewsWire 7.0b6, the current Mac beta, is a final candidate, which means we’re looking for deal-stoppers — any bugs severe enough that we have to fix them before shipping.

You can get it via NetNewsWire’s Check for Updates command (you may need to turn on Test builds in Settings > Advanced). Or you can download it here:

https://github.com/Ranchero-Software/NetNewsWire/releases/download/mac-7.0b6/NetNewsWire7.0b6.zip

As always, please report bugs on this forum or on the bugs tracker. Thanks!

Also note: NetNewsWire 7.0 requires macOS 26.

I have another odd display bug - although I don’t know if it is due to the article formatting from the site concerned. It might be PBKAM as it is my edited theme too.

In the red box it looks like source code rather than ‘displayed’ text.

I haven’t seen it anywhere else (from my feeds), so I suspect its the site’s issue rather than NNW. Thought I’d mention anyway.

Site with feed: https://www.caribbeannationalweekly.com

That’s actually what’s in their feed:

<content:encoded><article class="text-token-text-primary w-full focus:outline-none [--shadow-height:45px] has-data-writing-block:pointer-events-none has-data-writing-block:-mt-(--shadow-height) has-data-writing-block:pt-(--shadow-height) [&amp;:has([data-writing-block])&gt;*]:pointer-events-auto scroll-mt-[calc(var(--header-height)+min(200px,max(70px,20svh)))]" dir="auto" tabindex="-1" data-turn-id="request-WEB:2ed99372-bb7d-444b-ae20-8d3011474d9b-8" data-testid="conversation-turn-18" data-scroll-anchor="true" data-turn="assistant">

Ok thanks.

BTW, I’m loving the new NNW on Mac and iPad Mini. Looking forward to final release and future updates/functionality

I’m wondering if this is to do with a recent auto-scrolling bug. I saw OSNews’ Thom mention something like this Thom, Itanium™ influencer: "How in the fuck do I fix this scrolling bullshit …" - Exquisite.social
