Is there a way to clear a cache in the iPad app?
I’ve only been using Netnewswire for a couple of weeks, and the documents and data are over 804 mb. It’s almost doubled in just five days. I unstarred all my saved articles and it actually increased.
I just had to create space on the iPad to do the update to os 26.2, so I’ve gotten very storage conscious. I can’t just let the Netnewswire data keep going up.
NetNewsWire does delete old articles after a period of time (which depends on your syncing system). It doesn’t keep everything forever, and the storage won’t grow forever.
But it does tend to keep things for about 3 months. The amount of storage that requires depends on how many feeds you have and how active they are.
Which syncing system are you using, if any?

I’m using iCloud, and I also have the Mac app installed. I wondered if it made a difference that I don’t use the Mac app very often. But I just used it to see if it would clear anything on the iPad, but it didn’t change much.
Last night it had gone down to ~300 mb, then up again this morning.
I will try to trust that it will max out at some point and not go any higher, as you said.
