How to synch between MacBook Pro and iPhone 13 Pro

I downloaded NetNewsWire 7.0.5 onto my iPhone and now want it to synch with my NetNewsWire on my MacBook Pro 26.3.1 (a) but I can’t seem to get the phone to recognize it from my computer. I followed various instructions I found by searching in Safari but none haver worked. What am I missing?

The first step with syncing is deciding which type of syncing you want.

You can use iCloud — which is a popular choice.

You can also pick from some other web-based syncing systems, such as Feedly, Feedbin, NewsBlur, and others. Some of these are free or have a free tier.

iCloud has its limitations — it can be slow, for one thing. But it comes with your Macs and iPhones.

The other systems (Feedly, Feedbin, NewsBlur, and others) may cost some small amount of money, but they’re more efficient than iCloud, and they may also have other features (such as converting email newsletters to RSS for you).

I really struggled with iCloud sycing for a while. Switched to Feedbin and it works perfectly, well worth the small amount it costs.

You then set it up in NNW by going into Settings and adding your details into the Accounts section on both devices.

Thanks for your answers. I managed to get NNW to synch between my Mac and iPhone however one feed (The Guardian) now shows all articles twice on my Mac. The other feeds are fine, as is everything on my phone. Any thoughts about this? Thanks.

@wkyukon Which syncing system are you using?

I am using iCloud at the moment.
