There’s something not sitting right with the dinosaur logic.
Best way to describe it is that on an initial sync of a web account, if a feed in there hasn’t had a recent article to download (e.g., perhaps the last article was four months ago) then NetNewsWire may not download it. The effect is that that feeds shows as a dinosaur for 3 - 24 months.
I’m not sure I understand — are there feeds where NetNewsWire is just not getting the latest articles?
On ReaderAPI accounts, the initial (and subsequent) syncs will not go beyond three months. Therefore, on initial sync if a feed has not updated within that three-month window NetNewsWire incorrectly classifies it as not having been updated for 24 months.
On Newsblur, in Dinosaurs i have many feeds with no date which i assume means that they haven’t had entries since NNW v7 started. It does look weird. I wonder if entries without dates should be in a separate tab.
Got it! I think what I’ll do is just ignore any feeds that have no articles at all in the database.
