Feedbin requires near monthly reauthentications

I recently switched to using Feedbin after using Feedly for years before they seemed to add a limit of one month of articles being stored. What I have noticed in the intervening months that suddenly my feeds stop updating or it gets out of sync between devices and then NNW will give me a dialog to reauth with Feedbin.

Do they have some sort of limit on how long an account can be connected to a 3rd party before reauth or is this a NNW issue?

I don’t know why this is happening yet, but we do have it on the bug tracker. Included as part of the 7.1 milestone.

Saw the GitHub issue was closed. Just confirming I’m no longer experiencing it.

Why use Feedbin over iCloud?

Up until last fall I had been using Feedly but started to have some issues and decided to bite the bullet and try out Feedbin. These are some of the reasons over iCloud.

  • I do like the to access my RSS on devices that may not have NNW installed like my work computer
  • Have never liked the standalone newsletter to rss feed implementations but Feedbin works for me
  • Honestly something about iCloud sync sketches me out

Another reason to use Feedbin is efficiency. iCloud syncing is not built for RSS syncing, while Feedbin (and the other systems) very much are, and they can be much more efficient. (Less downloading and processing things. Less storage on your part.)
