While in a feed there is a “mark all as read” button. It works great, but I’d like to suggest a change in its behaviour.
When all the articles in the feed are read, the “mark all as read” button is greyed out. My proposal is that it does not get greyed out when all articles are read.
My reasoning is that I instinctively hit “mark all as read” whenever I’m done with a feed, which then takes me back to my list of feeds. It works great when at least one article in the feed in unread. But in a feed where I’ve read all the articles I hit the button and nothing happens, where I was expecting it to take me back to the feed list. I then use the “< Feeds” button at the top on the screen and I’m back in my list of feeds.
I understand why it is greyed out, because it is correctly noting that everything is read and no catch up is required.
An alternative to not greying out the button when all articles are read it to change the button to “Back to feeds” (or whatever icon, etc. that makes sense).
I know it’s a pretty small UX thing, but it would improve my flow when using the app.
Thanks again for the app!!!
