Does anyone know when NNW we be converted from Intel to Silicon?

Does anyone know when NNW we be converted from Intel to Silicon?

It runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon and includes compiled code for each processor type. In other words — already done! :+1:

Thanks for the reply. The only reason I asked was that I got one of those warnings in Tahoe about the apps that are made for Intel, etc, etc. I have a few that probably won’t be converted but since I use NNW daily I thought I’d ask.

Been using NNW on my Mac Studio for years, now on Tahoe. Just bought a new MacBook Air and after activation, is now on 26.5.1. App Store says this version is not compatible. But I can download from the website and it runs ok. What’s up?

Would you show me a screenshot of what it looks like where it says it’s not compatible? I haven’t seen this, and I’d like more info.

(My guess is that you did have a version of NetNewsWire 4 from Black Pixel from the App Store at one point. That old NetNewsWire would not be compatible. But that old NetNewsWire is not the current NetNewsWire.)

I am using 26.5.1 on a new MacBook Air. NNW does not show up when I search for it in the App Store. I went to NNW web page and used the App Store link and the attached image is what is shown. ie not compatible with this device. I see the App Store link is for iOS, not MacOS.

However, I was able to download the app directly from the NNW web and all is fine.

I guess for the MacOS version, it is not on the App Store.

You’re quite right! NetNewsWire for Mac is not on the App Store.

And so if you view the listing for NetNewsWire for iOS while on a Mac, it will show that it’s not compatible with this device (since the device is your Mac).
