Is there a way of creating a “Sent To” on a Right Click for another app that you have open, like the app Raindrop.io. It would eliminate having to open a webpage in a browser.
I went to the Raindrop.io website a few other RSS apps offer the feature.
@Raptor did you get anywhere with this? As a fellow Raindrop user I can imagine using this myself.
Sounds like a job for a Shortcut.
Can a shortcut use a API that has to be used with the other app to attach to NNW?
I’ve spent a little time investigating. On iOS it’s very simple once you have the Raindrop iOS app installed. Raindrop appears in the share sheet. I tried it just now from NetNewsWire and it works nicely. Apple Shortcuts - Raindrop.io Help
Sadly on the Mac the Raindrop app doesn’t appear to expose anything so useful. Custom shortcuts are readily added to the Shortcuts option in the Mac share sheet. NetNewsWire exposes this with the Share menu button.
The part we’re missing is an app installed that handles the authentication part to actually post a bookmark to the Raindrop API.
