Badge icon does not show correct number of new articles

I’m running NetNewsWire 7.11 on a MacBook running OS 26.5.2. The badge icon for NNW does not show the correct number of unread articles (shows over 500, but I only have 3 unread). How do I fix this so the badge only shows unread?

Does the badge icon change ever, or is it always 500?

Do you have any accounts in NetNewsWire that you have deactivated?

Thanks for the quick reply, Brent. It turns out I had a corrupted feed that was causing the problem. I got rid of it and now the badge is updating correctly.

However, I do have another somewhat annoying issue: When NNW opens, when I look at items in the “All Unread” pane, or mark them as Read and then hit “Hide Read Articles”, they remain in the All Unread pane, until I switch out of it (by going to “Today” for instance), then switch back to it. Any way to fix this one? Many thanks
