I’ve been using NetNewsWire on a single Mac for the past (gasp) 21 years (well, not the same Mac obviously, but always a single one.) I’ve recently started using a two-Mac setup so I enabled iCloud syncing. I discovered I can just drag-and-drop all my subscriptions from “On My Mac” to iCloud – wonderful! The subscription definitions all get copied flawlessly. NNW then downloads all the feeds, and marks all items in them unread. I kinda understand why it’s like that (they’re treated as separate subscriptions), but what I _really_ wished for here would’ve been more a “move” and not a “copy” semantics – I wanted to have unread counts and starred articles to follow.

Here’s a high-level category overview of both after dragging and dropping everything from On My Mac to iCloud, you can see the unread counts are all over the place (some are higher in On My Mac obviously 'cause the redownloaded feeds for iCloud no longer carry older entries, that’s fine.)

There might be even a way to do this, I just can’t seem to be able to discover it.

There are requests for this feature on our bug tracker, and I can easily see how it would be useful. 👍
